Before this was the City of Calgary, the Blackfoot people stewarded this place they call Moh’kins’tsis. I honour the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy. Siksika, Piikani and Kainai Nations. These waters flow through the lands of the Îethka Stoney Nakoda Nations— the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations who know this place as Wîcîspa Oyade and Tsuut’ina Nation has long called this place Guts’ists’i. Métis peoples share this area as their home, known as Otos-kwunee
